MapsAlive: Website that takes large amounts of information and helps organize pictures and words in a logical, easy-to-create format.

(Currently a small company for commercial application, but great educational value.)
Can add descriptors and information in one small area. The map has hover points that allow you to link to images, text, or another site.
Can create multi-level diagrams off of one main map.
Cannot embed video, but...hyperlink to the videos
Students can work on the same map at the same time.
It is free for 30 days. Setup students for free 30 day trials.
Finished site is published and the url is made available for future reference.

  • Battles
  • Floorplans for field trips that can be used for future virtul tours
  • Map of school to use for new students or visitors
  • Information about gov't types ect. by country on a map
